About Woofmap

Woofmap (woofmap.com) publishes dog breed information, dog images, practical care guides and browser-based creative tools for dog lovers. This page explains what the site offers, where its content comes from and how to use it responsibly.

What can you do on Woofmap?

Which dog breed suits your everyday life?

The breed atlas brings together origins, appearance, temperament and daily care, with links to FCI standards. Compare breeds before deciding what fits your time, space and experience. Breed descriptions describe common tendencies, not a promise about an individual dog. The atlas labels AI-generated breed illustrations and separates them from factual breed information.

Where can you find dog images and avatar ideas?

Browse the dog image gallery for realistic and cartoon-style inspiration. Open an individual image page to see its description and original image link. For a personalized cartoon avatar, use the free studio: choose body shape, coat, facial features and accessories, then name the dog and download a PNG without signing up. Gallery image reuse follows the original source permissions.

How do you make a missing dog poster or care sheet?

The dog tools let you create a missing dog poster, a dog care handover sheet or a door sign. Add your own text, preview the result and download a PNG or print it. Use a real, recent photo for a missing dog search. Photos used in these tools are processed in your browser; they are not uploaded by the tools.

Where should a first-time dog owner start?

The Chinese knowledge library covers preparing for a dog, the first week at home, supplies, walking, barking, boarding and first steps after a dog goes missing. Each guide links to its references and explains its limits. These guides offer general preparation and care information. Ask a veterinarian about an individual animal’s health and check local official rules for legal requirements.

Content sources and editorial boundaries

Breed profiles link to Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI) entries and standards. Woofmap is an independent website and is not the FCI. Breed images identified as AI-generated are illustrations, not evidence of an individual animal or a perfect breed standard. Knowledge articles list their references; general care information does not replace veterinary advice.

Privacy

The avatar studio and dog tools use your browser for creating and exporting images. Photos selected in the dog tools stay in your browser. Saved tool drafts contain text rather than photos. The site stores language preferences and some creations or drafts locally; clearing browser storage removes those local records. Most pages load Google Analytics 4 to measure visits. Your browser also requests images, fonts and other assets from the site and its service providers, which receive connection data such as your IP address. The readiness interview omits analytics. Follow the Google privacy information below for its data practices.
